Baichen Passes US Pharmacy Chain Factory Audit with Zero Deficiencies, Winning Strong Approval from International Buyer

A major pharmacy chain group headquartered in the US Midwest planned to add electric wheelchairs to its product offerings. The group’s procurement team imposed a rigorous factory audit process that covered production site management, quality assurance systems, and social responsibility practices. Baichen, as a prospective supplier, passed the audit on the first attempt and was awarded an annual framework agreement.

The purchasing manager, D***d, conducted an on‑site inspection with a particular focus on four areas: the implementation of the ISO 9001 quality management system, 5S organisation on the factory floor, incoming material and outgoing product inspection processes, and employee welfare and social responsibility records.

Baichen prepared the audit documentation two weeks in advance, compiling a total of 23 items, including ISO 9001 certificates, internal audit logs, equipment calibration records, approved vendor lists, staff training histories, and a social responsibility self‑assessment. On the day of the audit, the procurement team reviewed production line workflows, warehouse zoning, quality‑control laboratory calibration data, and the handling of non‑conforming products. Baichen passed the inspection with no non‑conformities identified.

At the concluding meeting, D***d noted: “Baichen is one of the few Chinese suppliers that is willing to open its factory completely and have all documentation prepared in advance. That gives us confidence in a long‑term partnership.” Subsequently, both parties signed an annual framework agreement, with the first batch of orders scheduled for phased delivery starting in the third quarter of 2026.

For overseas B2B buyers, a factory audit serves as the most direct assessment of a supplier’s overall operational capability. Baichen demonstrated its readiness to serve large‑scale retail chains through standardised documentation, transparent manufacturing environments, and efficient cross‑functional coordination. This case provides a strong reference for B2B buyers aiming to expand into North American institutional channels, including pharmacy chains, senior care organisations, and healthcare facilities.
